The fastest way to resize frame-based objects such as images and text boxes in InDesign is with the Free Transform Tool.

Step 1

Select the object with the Direct Selection Tool.

Step 2

Hit E on your keyboard or select the Free Transform Tool in the toolbar.

Step 3

Hold down Shift, click and drag
any corner of the selected object
with your cursor.
